Anyone threatening US petrodollar is public enemy No.1 — It is widely accepted truism today, over a decade after the "war on terror" began, that all the wars in the Middle East were launched to protect America's oil and energy interests. Less well known is the country's desperate scramble to protect the petrodollar monopoly.
