Democrats are the freal racist : General Robert E. Lee was a Democrat. The KKK was founded by Democrats. While Republicans fought for anti-lynching laws, Democratic President Franklin Roosevelt opposed them. In the ’50s and ’60s, when Republicans fought for civil rights, Democrats such as William Fulbright, Albert Gore Sr. and KKK leader Robert Byrd fought against them. Southern Democrats mandated the racist Jim Crow laws that enforced segregation. All throughout history it has been the Democratic Party that has fought against equal rights for all. Its verbal hate toward Republicans is just their attempt to redirect our attention elsewhere, while they still practice their more subtle racism. They claim to support our educational system but they really support the unions, who rake in all the money, while we still have substandard inner-city schools. Without a decent education, our children are stuck in a continued life of poverty. Democrats condone all the current violence and hate language going on today, as long as it’s directed at Republicans. Who is the real party of racism, hatred and bigotry? The Democratic Party. When we attempt to rewrite history, we destroy knowledge of our past. And when we don’t recognize our mistakes and learn from them, we risk repeating them.
