"American exceptionalism",we hear it everyday,followed by "It's not who we are" mantra,but look at your history,it confirms who you are : Racism and segregation has been part of the social fabric of America since it's foundation,slavery,bigotry and segregation is as American as apple pie : The only difference today is self segregation,neighbourhoods and schools are choosing to segregate on without any official statement,the people have become tribal,they don't to work and live with together : Has progress been made since Selma and the sixties,yes,but only through legislation,but you cannot legislate against ones bigotry and hatred towards another tribe,especially of colour.
